Teen counselling

Teen counselling 10yrs -18yrs

Adolescence can be a challenging time, and young people often need mental health support as they face increasing pressures from school, friendships, family relationships, social media, identity issues, and their own emotional wellbeing. Sometimes these challenges can feel overwhelming, leaving teenagers struggling to cope on their own.

Teenagers may seek youth therapy for a variety of issues, including:

- Anxiety and worry

- Low mood or depression

- Stress and overwhelm

- Friendship difficulties

- Family relationship challenges

- Self-esteem and confidence issues

- School-related pressures

- Exam stress

- ADHD/Neurodiversity

- Autism and social difficulties

- Anger and emotional regulation

- Bereavement and loss

- Trauma and difficult life experiences

- Identity and self-discovery

- Emotional wellbeing and resilience

How does youth therapy work?

Sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each young person. Some teenagers prefer to talk, while others find it easier to express themselves through creative activities, worksheets, drawing, or other therapeutic tools. Together, we find an approach that feels comfortable and supportive.

Where are sessions held?

We offer online and in-person sessions, subject to availability. Our in-person sessions are at our counselling room in Perth.
