I’m what’s known as a pluralistic counsellor which means that I have the skills to work across a range of modalities and bring lots of different tools and techniques to our sessions. I often think of it like cooking; it’s like having access to lots of different ingredients that I can choose from to make the chosen dish to taste, instead of only having enough to make the same single dish.
Right now, I offer online sessions via Zoom, telephone counselling sessions over the phone across the UK and walk and talk therapy in Perth, Scotland. I am introducing home visits for children and young people to accessing counselling in a familiar space.
How many counselling sessions you’ll need and how often we will meet will depend very much on you and what has brought you to counselling in the first place. This is something we can discuss during your discovery session. Frequency can be weekly, fortnightly and monthly.
No, there’s no contract tying you into anything. If we decide to work together, I will share prepare a counselling agreement for you which I’ll need you to read, sign and return to commence your counselling. It’s a simple document that outlines what to expect from the sessions and helps you commit the time and energy required to get the most out of your experience.
