Neurodivergent counselling

Understanding yourself in a world that doesn't always understand you.....

Living as a neurodivergent person can bring unique strengths, perspectives and ways of experiencing the world. It can also bring challenges when expectations, environments and systems are not designed with neurodiversity in mind.

At Busy minds counselling , I offer neuro affirming counselling for adults and young people who may be autistic, have ADHD, or feel there brain works differently from those around them.

Counselling provides a safe accepting space where you can explore you experiences without judgement, masking or pressure to "fit in".

How counselling can support you ?

You may look for support with :-

  • Understanding yourself and your ND identity
  • ADHD challenges such as overwhelm, motivation, organisation and emotional regulation
  • Autism - related experiences, including sensory differences and social exhaustion
  • Masking and feeling the need to hide parts of yourself
  • Burnout and  feeling constantly overwhelmed
  • Anxiety, stress and racing thoughts
  • Low confidence
  • Relationship and communication difficulties
  • Navigating work, transitions, education
  • Managing expectations and creating strategies that work

As a Neurodivergent therapist I find working with ND clients can feel helpful as there is no need to explain the neurodiversity element, it's about how I can support you as I fully understand the challenges!
